Description
MR223A3
The MR223 is a semi-automatic rifle in calibre .223 Remington. It is the civilian version of the HK416, which is in service with numerous regular and specialised forces of the military as well as the police. The MR223 corresponds to the HK416 in terms of quality and fulfils almost all the requirements of its military counterpart. As an indirect gas-operated weapon, the MR223 works with the proven and reliable gas system of the G36. Unlike direct gas-operated AR systems, the MR223’s modular receiver remains practically clean during firing. Thus, the MR223 continues to shoot smoothly even when other self-automatic rifles are already malfunctioning and stop working.
The MR223 is available in 11, 14.5 and 16.5 inch barrel lengths. The cold-hammer-forged and hard-chrome-plated precision barrels are free-floating and ensure optimum accuracy. This applies to match disciplines as well as to hunting. The Slim Line handguard with HKey interfaces fits snugly on the extended barrel nut and offers a wide range of individual options for special equipment. The extendable Slim Line buttstock makes the MR223 extremely easy to handle and can be optimally adjusted to the length of the shooter’s body by means of locking positions. The flared magazine well supports quick changing of magazines and is compatible with NATO STANAG standard magazines .
